In the wake of the tragic deaths in Kabul, where four members of the Skateistan community were killed, myself and Posy Dixon have have teamed up once more to bring you a one off East London party at The Macbeth.
Resurrecting our legendary, ‘I Heart’ night, we’re back to bring you live bands, rooftop screenings, a deluxe BBQ, a tombola, the best DJs and the chance to win fantastic prizes from our sponsors, with all proceeds going to the Skateistan charity.
In case you don’t know about the fantastic work this NGO does with the youth of Afghanistan, the 1750 square metre facility opened in 2009 with an aim of empowering the youth of Kabul as well as providing a safe space and special way for the young of the city to forget about their troubles. Alongside the skateboarding facilites, the NGO provides classroom activities, photography and film workshops and has captured the hearts of participants and supporters the world over.
