Fixed Off road

A bunch of folk went to Epping Forest to ride fixed off road. I didn’t make it myself. Looks like the usual mix of ridiculous shit and good riding went down.

It has been suggested that perhaps the above might be a more appropriate domain…Yes, after the weekend’s shennanigans me and some of my buddies have been struggling somewhat.

Yesterday I dropped into the bowl at Cantelowes and zoned out to the extent that I was slightly scared when I came to whizzing around a bowl. I literally forgot where I was and what I was doing. I also dropped in on a bank and stacked it big time. DUH.

Today, still feeling a bit sketchy, I took the fixed gear out for a spin and had a mess about around Mile End.

The following is a demonstration of what NOT to do after a heavy weekend:

a) jump very, v e r y , v  e  r  y  , v   e   r   y   slowly off a roof on yer 26″ fixed gear bike

b) forget to jump at all and just nose dive

Clay rockin Hell Yeah

I met Clay in Portland last year and thought he was a total dude. Bummer that when we went out drinking he was too young to come but we had some fun times riding together.

Death Pedal 2 Atlanta Premier

I’m looking forward to seeing Death Pedal 2 when they show in it London. Word on the street is that the London premier will be combined with the launch of the new issue of Fixed Mag, but I dunno if that’s correct as I am up a mountain. Cover of the mag looks pretty sweet! Yeah Tom!

Anyway, if you happen to live near Atlanta, head down the premier on April 10th. There are a ton of good sponsors so go watch the movie, buy a raffle ticket and bag yourself some goodies. I sent some Hell Yeah shirts over there for it.

Boards, not bikes

I’m out in the French Alpes in Tines snowboarding. I came over to watch the Winter X Games and my friend Jenny Jones won her third gold in slopestyle. Go Bristol!

My buddy Will was kind enough to let me stay at the Dragon Lodge. Pretty sweet views from the balcony!

Its been partytastic since I got her. I now seem to have given myself a cold but I can honestly say that Monster throw the best parties and it’s been well worth the hangovers! Now I’ve had two cups of tea, some marmite and two cups of coffee, I’m ready to go shred. 

Pretty bummed it’s my last day but excited about getting back on my bike as there’s a trick I’ve been thinking about trying!

I jumped a set of five stairs

Went out riding the other day with the goal of jumping stuff. I jumped this five stair set near St Paul’s. Looks disappointingly small in this pic!

Been finding it hard deciding what to ride this week. The sun finally came out so I ended up doing one day on the BMX, one day fixed, and today on the mountain bike. I love the sun!
